My name is Genieve Whyte, and I’m a freelance technical writer.
I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in Legal Studies and Business. After graduation, I went to Conestoga College to specialize in Technical Communication.
Here’s a little bit about my professional background:
I’ve worked as a marketing specialist and business developer in two software startup companies in South Korea. I was born and raised in Korea, so much of my work included English-Korean translation.
After deciding to pursue a career in technical writing, I worked at a Nanotechnology company in Canada as a technical documentation specialist. Updating the internal software user manual with MadCap Flare was my primary responsibility.
Currently, I’m working with Upwork clients to gain more experience and build my portfolio. Some of my Upwork projects include creating knowledge base articles, translating a knowledge base, and creating sales materials.
